TeamViewer is a fast and safe remote management tool designed to help managed IT service providers proactively monitor remote systems, client endpoints, and networks. It can monitor devices like Windows, macOS, and Linux for early identification of issues.

Using TeamViewer, you can quickly and easily send large files to friends and colleagues over the internet. You can transfer files securely and directly to a remote computer or server. With TeamViewer file transfer, you can, for example, send attachments that are too large for your email, or transfer files to your media server, or share large amounts of data without an FTP server.

File transfer mode
TeamViewer offers a dedicated file transfer mode which allows you to exchange files between the two devices without affecting the remote user's screen. This can be triggered in a few ways:
1. You can select File transfer on the Remote Control tab using the drop-down menu located above the Partner ID field.

2. You can also select File transfer mode from Computers & Contacts. Once you have selected the desired device or user, select the File transfer icon, located below the alias of the device/user.
In a remote session
If you are already connected to the remote device, you can initiate a file transfer session by clicking Files & Extras --> Open file transfer on the toolbar above the session window:
Other file transfer methods
Send File: You can send files to a specific device or user from within Computers & Contacts without connection:
1. Select the paperclip icon below the alias of the device/user
2. Select the files you wish to send
4. A notification will appear once completed, indicating a successful file transfer.
Drag & Drop (Windows only): It is possible to copy files within a Remote Control session by dragging and dropping the files from the remote window to your window, or vice versa.
